Learning at Home

The following is a list of links and information about how to access resources to support your child's learning at home.  We hope that it's useful to you.  For applications which require log-in details, please contact the school office.

Purple Mash (Reception to Year 6)

Purple Mash is an online platform that provides pupils with a wide range of interactive learning activities across a whole range of National Curriculum subjects.  Teachers can assign these activities to your child, mark them and feedback.  Each pupil has their own unique log in.  These have been stuck into their homework diaries.

Microsoft Office 365 (Reception to Year 6)

Office365 is a suite of applications that provide each pupil with an opportunity to work online and collaborate with anyone across our federation.  They have access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (email) and a whole host of other exciting but less well known tools like Teams, OneNote and Sway.  All pupils have their own individual account and their login details can be found stuck into their homework diaries.  Clearly, some of these apps are more useful for our older children but the vast majority of pupils have used Office365 in the classroom so far.  To log in, go to the link above and click the sign in button.

Brittanica School (Reception to Year 6)

Brittanica School is the online version of the famous 'Encyclopedia Brittanica'.  This contains a wealth of information and activities that can be researched as well as links to other websites that have all been vetted for use by children.  A username and password are required the first time you access the site - these are contained in your child's homework diary.  Once these details have been entered, the website remembers your device and you won't have to enter them again.

I'm sure that most parents/carers will be aware of the work we do already with this resource. It's excellent for developing pupils' knowledge and understanding of their times tables.  Use the link above to access the website.  Each pupils' log in is contained in their homework diary.  Download the guide for parents, for more details.

Monster SATs (year 6 only)

Children in Year 6 have been working hard towards their SATS and this is a great resource that pulls all their learning together. It is full of practice style SATs papers and also lots of revision activities for anything they may need to revise. Children are all familiar with how to logon and have these details in their diaries if they forget. 

BBC Music Resources

BBC Trailblazers and Ten Pieces is a fantastic resource for KS2 students to explore the world of classical music.  The children have already studied a few of these amazing pieces but there are many they have not had the opportunity to listen to and explore.

NumBots – available via your child’s Times Tables Rock Stars Login! (EYFS - Year 6)

Numbots can be accessed free of charge after logging into TTRS, as normal.  Numbots is similar to Rock Stars but focusses on addition and subtraction skills instead.  Check it out!
